WHAT YOU NEED
- 375g pkt NESTLÉ Dark Melts
- 125g butter, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 250g plain sweet biscuits, crushed
- 1/4 cup (40g) dried mixed peel
- grated zest of 1 orange
- 2 tbsp Cointreau or orange juice
- 250g strawberries
HOW TO MAKE
- Grease and base line a 20cm spring-form pan with baking paper.
- Place 1 1/4 cups (185g) NESTLÉ Dark Melts in a saucepan with butter and golden syrup. Cook over a low heat, stirring, until melted.
- Stir in biscuits, mixed peel, zest and Cointreau or orange juice; mix well. Press mixture into prepared pan. Cover and refrigerate until firm.
- Dip strawberries in remaining NESTLÉ Dark Melts, which has been melted according to packet directions; allow to set; place on top of Torte and dust with icing sugar if desired. Serve cut into wedges.
